DeepL's file limits

DeepL's free version includes 1 file translation a month, up to 5 MB. Paid plans start at 3 files a month and 30 MB per file, with more files on higher plans.

DeepL's text translation is excellent, especially between European languages. Where it struggled in our test was a right-to-left document: on an Israeli payslip the labels were translated well, but every line came out mirrored, some numbers were mangled (9,011.011), and the page carried a "Translated by DeepL" mark.

Why did my DeepL translation come out backwards?

Right-to-left pages, like Hebrew and Arabic, can come out mirrored when a tool rebuilds the page from the PDF's stored text. That's what we saw in our test. Samedoc reads the page as you see it and can switch the layout to left-to-right.

Is it free?
